A Date at East Coast Park

Last Saturday, Baby Malcolm turned one-month-old! Siang Boon and Catherine invited us and our friends to their house for lunch to celebrate Malcolm. So Chris and I decided to have a family date at East Coast Park.

It has been a long long while since we last went to ECP. The last trip, we rented a tandem bike with a child seat and we went cycling. This outing was Joanne's first time at ECP. We met at MacDonalds' for breakfast before setting off. Mike and Matthew got their bike and zoomed off, as Matthew was already impatient and kept insisting that he wanted to be on a bike. Megan had a go on her little tricycle before deciding that she too wanted to be on the bike, because she kept asking where Matthew was.

While the fathers and kids went off on the bike, Chris and I, with Joanne, strolled along and chit-chat. Joanne was a good girl, smiling, cooing, aahing. She loves to listen to adult talk.

After the cycling trip, Matthew had a jelly and some sweets. We asked him to share some fruit jelly sweets with Megan; Matthew took a bunch and offered them to Megan. Good that he knows how to share. It was a very very hot morning and Matthew drank LOTS of water!

We then made our way to the lunch party. Matthew had fried rice with carrot, mushroom and broccoli. I was surprised. It must be school, because there is this little song that is sung to the tune of "ABC". Carrot, peas and broccoli. Vegetables are good for me. Hahaha! Glad he is taking more vegetables now. Joanne napped in the sarong sling and slept really well.

We met the rest of Hall 2 gang, Terence and Grace who are expecting their little girl in July 2007, Bro Bang, Stephanie and their little HuiXuan who's turning one-year-old next month, Eric and Liyun. The next time we meet should be in August. That time would be a big crowd with all the kids.
