Jo understands

As babies grow older, they understand more and they are more fun to play with... Over the past month, Jo has grown up a lot. She has showed us that she understands a lot of things...

When we ask "Where's the bird" or "小鸟在哪里", Jo will point with her little index finger outside... She knows where to find birds and will keep looking. She will wave her little hands at the birds, as if to ask them to come to her.

When we ask "花在哪里", she will point to the flower and say "花".

She knows the number 8, that's the level we stay. When we take the lift up to our level, she knows and will get very excited, gesture at the number 8 outside the lift and say "eigh". Sometimes she will stand at the gate and keep shouting "eigh", talking to herself...

Outside the door just now, I asked Jo "家在哪里?". She hesitated, then pointed at our door.

In her room, I told Jo "Mommy say good night, ok? You'll be a good girl and sleep. See ya tomorrow morning." Immediately she pointed at the light. Why? Because usually I would only say those words in the dark, just before I go out of the room. She was trying to tell me "Mommy, light". I'm supposed to carry her to switch off the lights, put her down, sing her 3 songs, namely Ba Ba Black Sheep, ABC and Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, before I say good night.

She knows...
