When Matthew was younger, before Jo, we went cycling at East Coast Park quite frequently. After Jo came along, we seldom went because knowing Jo's character, she's not one who would sit still for more than 1+ hours.
A few Sundays back, after Matthew's music lessons, seeing that the weather was quite cool, we made an impromptu decision and headed to East Coast Park. We managed to cycle almost 2 hours, all the way from the Tennis Centre to Bedok Jetty and slightly further before heading back. Jo was quite co-operative and enjoyed the ride. On the way back, she got agitated and in went the pacy and she kept quiet for the rest of the way back and even fell asleep. I had her on my bike initially, then Matthew wanted me to ride him on the way back, so I swopped kids with Mike. I had never taken Matthew on my bike before because I always thought he was too heavy for me to ride him. Surprisingly, it was ok and we had a good time chatting and talking. :)
Here's my favourite photo, currently on my vista desktop :)
After that, we went to our fav Jap restaurant Waraku and Matthew was disturbed by a buzzing housefly. He kept shouting at us to hit the housefly. Mike made an online feedback to the management and was told that they had sent the pest control to eliminate the offending housefly (i think there was only one but Matthew hates houseflies, so really cannot blame him for kicking up a big fuss). The management apologised profusely and sent us a meal voucher. If you ask Matthew now whether he wants to go to the Waraku at East Coast, he will promptly reply no because 有苍蝇 and he wants to go to the one at Central...
