Day 2 began very early in the morning at 630am with Matthew waking up asking for food! I think he was also woken up by the light we left on the night before. After eating bread we bought from Maxim Confectionary at Tsing Yi station, we proceeded to explore the hotel compound.
Then the kids found the playground and spent some time going up, down, under and around. We got them to the gift shop where the kids amused themselves with all the disney toys. We checked out and left the luggage and backpack at the store and took the courtesy bus to Disneyland.
We took our time, enjoying the cool weather and let the kids run wild. When we reached the main entrance, silly mommy me realised that I left the park tickets in the backpack! So I had to take the bus back to the hotel to retrieve the tickets!
When we finally went in, we went straight to Futureland to ride on the Obitron. Then queue to drive in Autopia. We saw Buzz Lightyear and had our photos taken. Then it was Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters where the kids got their hands on laser guns to shoot at the baddies.
Lunchtime, the kids had chicken wings and french fries and Mike and I shared a teriyaki chicken burger.
>> During lunch, Matthew saw Buzz again and went to say hi...
After lunch at Futureland, we caught the High School Musical show in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. When they asked for dancers, I got Jo to stand up and she was very brave and went to join in the dance!
We went over to Fantasyland to take the Small Small World cruise. Jo knew the song and kept saying small small world AND till now, she still remembers and tells us there's water in small small world! We then had our photo taken outside small small world...
Then it was the jungle river cruise at Adventureland. Jo was so tired, she fell asleep while queueing up for the cruise. Matthew fell asleep on the raft going to Tarzan island.
We were on time to catch the Disney Parade. Joanne caught her favourite characters - Mickey and Minnie. Matthew saw his favourite Toy Story float with Buzz Lightyear.
Then we were on our way out of Disneyland. We took some photos - last looks at Disneyland and goodbyes...
We went back to the hotel to get our luggage and took the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui (via Sunny Bay and Lai King stations), reaching Hotel Benito at 5pm. After checking in and washing up, we went to a nearby noodle shop and had wanton and fishball noodles. The wantons were delicious and Matthew enjoyed it. Joanne was not too keen on the food (she was teething her molars which we didn't realise till 2 days later and she was having runny nose).
After dinner, we then walked to the TST Waterfront Promenade / Avenue of the Stars as we intended to catch the lightshow. Matthew complained that it was too cold (wind blowing) and it started to rain! I tried to take some photos of Joanne and the beautiful HK skyline, these were what I got!
... more fun on Day 3 ...
