Movie Date

Last Monday, the childcare centre was closed. Mike and I decided to take leave and bring the kids out on a movie date. We took a direct bus from home to Vivocity. The kids had fun along the way, looking out for things, singing.

We were early, so we had some snacks before the movie. There were long queues at the ticket counters. Luckily we bought our tickets a day earlier. That day was Youth Day and there was no school.

Matthew and Mike watched Transformers, while Joanne and I watched Ice Age 3. I forgot that Joanne didn't need a ticket! Anyway it was good that we got her a ticket. She had a booster seat and enjoyed watching the show. She talked a lot LOUDLY and asked lots of questions, like "That's papa elephant, mama elephant. Where is baby elephant", so on and so forth. She went to toilet a few times, but all in all, she was quite ok and definitely enjoyed the show.

When the show was almost to the end, she insisted that she wanted to go toilet. When we came back, she got all upset because the show ended and the credits were running. I had to convince her to leave and that I would show her Ice Age DVD when we go home.

After that, we went to the foodcourt to get lunch. While waiting for Matthew and Mike, I managed to buy all their food (udon and yong tow foo) and my own lunch and grab a coffee too! She was quite good, sitting there, eating on her own while waiting for me.

Matthew and Mike finally joined us at the foodcourt. After lunch, we made our way out to take the train. Mike managed to pat Jo to sleep and transferred her into her baby pouch, while Matthew only fell asleep at JE stop.

It was quite a fun outing. We shall do it again on a weekday.
