Auntie LM organised for 8 kids to join a kiddy workshop at the National Museum of Singapore on 5/5/07. It reopened recently after a renovation closure. I think it has been almost 10 years since Mike and I went there, during our paktor days. The four of us went there to meet up with the rest of Feb/Mar05 gang. Cayden, YiXuan, Qistina and Nayli, Joshua and Emma, Ignatius and ChengEn with their mommies and/or daddies.
There were sing-along, puppet show / story-telling, craft making. Matthew quite enjoyed the workshop, but clinged to Mike the whole time. The best thing that came out of this was his singing the song
Where is pointer?
Where is pointer?
Here I am
Here I am
How are you today sir?
Very well, I thank you
Run away
Run away
and he had since changed the song to suit. :)
No photos, because Papa was busy carrying clingy Matthew to take any. Read more on YiXuan's and Ignatius' blogs.
A Theatre
This is Matthew's first time in a theatre. To prep him for the play The Little Red Hen, we bought him the book from the Ladybird Classic series. In fact, it has become one of his favourite books. Auntie Elaine helped the whole group of us booked tickets to the show by iTheatre on 3/6/07 at Alliance Francaise de Singapour. Matthew saw on Papa's lap. Although he kept mumbling that he wanted to go out, he actually quite enjoyed the show. Not bad for a first time. Nearing the end, Matthew wanted to go to the loo. After that, Papa carried Matthew and watched the rest of the play at the back of the theatre. Everybody was treated to a Gardenia Rasin Bun, courtesy of the Little Red Hen. In fact, Matthew now calls this bread, "Xiao3 Mu3 Ji1 de Mian1 Bao1 (小母鸡的面包)".
