Hong Kong - Day 3 Part 3

After Ocean Park, we made our way back to the hotel. Everybody was washed up, fresh and we made our way to the Peak. Took the MTR to Central station (exit J2) and walked to the Peak Tram station...

>> The Peak Tram station and the area really look so different from the last time we were there in Dec00. The walk seems shorter too. I remember it was a long and quiet walk to the station from Central station then.

Matthew was quite excited, asked so many questions about the Tram. As it was a cold and misty day, we couldn't see much around us when we were near the top. When we finally reached the top, it was dinner time. Me, the silly mommy as usual, couldn't remember which restaurant it was that I had read about on website, we were out and about searching. We went to this Italian restaurant, but Matthew wasn't interested in the food. Then we decided to go to this cha chan teng called Hong Kong Day. Matthew had rice with egg and Jo had the ham that came with the rice. I ate Fried Beef Hor Fan and Mike was not keen to eat at all.

We bought a combo ticket package which included the entrance fees to the Viewing Gallery. This is what we saw from the Viewing Gallery...

Surprisingly, it was not cold and there was no wind blowing. the kids were comfortable wearing just their tee-shirts.

The mist or fog came from the south, moving over the "hills", over us, towards the north, and we felt as if we were in the clouds! We really couldn't see anything when the "cloud" went over. After a while, all the lights became more visible and we decided to make our way down.

We walked back to the Central station and along the way, we realised that the Harbour lightshow was on, as the Bank of China building had "lights" dancing away. Matthew was quite fascintated with the lights that kept moving along the edge of the building.

Joanne ended up sleeping on the train. She continued sleeping after I changed her into her pyjamas. Matthew also had a long day and it didn't take him long to fall asleep..

Day 4... an amazing day...

P/S - the restaurant at the Peak we were looking for is Hong Kong Day which has quite good reviews on some website. We saw Hong Kong Day when we stepped out of the Peak Tram and it's just outside Madame Tussard. Silly mommy didn't remember the name, we still ended up at the place I have put on my itinerary. :p
