The past few months have been busy ones for me at work! So busy, staring at the computer and reading documents the whole day, that I become just simply too lazy to plug in the laptop to log on. That's why my updates have been scant and few.
We did a lot of interesting things the past two months. Since Jo's first trip to the Zoo end March, we have been to the Zoo at least 3 times. The latest trip was on NTU Alumni Family Day on 31-5-08 and we got admission tix at half price for Ah Yi and her boyfriend. Por Por also came along and she cooked fried rice for our lunch.
>> L-R: Jo and Por Por, Jo and me....
The previous weekend, we went to walk the new park connectors from the new HortPark at Alexandra Road via the elevated walkway to Telok Blangah Hill Park, then via the interesting Henderson Waves bridge to Mount Faber. It was a good 3km walk there and another 3km back to where we parked the car! If it was just me and Mike, it would be so much easier. It was definitely not easy to walk with 2 kids. I thought I would be aching all over at the end of the day, but I was fine! We would definitely be going there again.
The photos were all taken at the Henderson Waves bridge. The 1st and last photos show us taking breaks before and after the bridge walk. There were seats for the tired ones to rest and for kids to play.. there were couples taking wedding photos and also a fashion photographer with his model.
The Sunday after the zoo trip (that was 1-6-08), we were at IMM in the afternoon. There was a storytelling session followed by a handpainting session. I was lucky and got a queue number of 5 for Matthew. He has become more daring these days and more game to try different things. When we asked if he wanted a picture on his hand, he said YES. After thinking for a while, he requested for a butterfly. The jie jie was very nice and even painted the butterfly in shades of blue to match his attire.
Just last Saturday, Matthew even tried the cotton candy (which I hate because it taste too sweet and too chemical). After 5 bites, he decided that it was too sweet and requested for fishballs instead....
ok.. That's all for now.. We also went to the Goat Farm and Bollywood Veggies with Aunty Jan and her kids in May.. I'll try to update again... :)
