Jo got fake measles

Jo came down with a 38.5oC fever on last Saturday evening. I had to give her paracetamol every 8 hours to keep the fever. She was bubbly, active and noisy as usual, but she was more sleepy than usual. As fast as her fever came, it was gone after her last dose of paracetamol yesterday evening.

Then I noticed some red spots on her neck, then I suspected that it might be fake measles, which Aunty E had mentioned that Emma got it a few weeks ago.

After some googling and surfing, I could "safely" confirm that it's roseola or fake measles. Since the fever has gone, there is no need to see Dr Ong, as there's no medicine for it anyway. I'll just give Dr Ong a call. One good thing I found out was that Matthew won't get it even though it's contagious because the virus would only affect infants and toddlers up to 3 years old.

Here are some websites for information on Roseola: AskDrSears.com and Mayoclinic.com
