Joanne started her 1st full day at childcare today. As expected, she cried buckets when we brought her there. In fact, she started crying when she realised we did not stop at por por's house. She settled down after we left. Naughty me and papa took a peep from the road bridge next to the school and she actually saw us and started crying again! Such sharp eyes! oops.
I sms Teacher Ann to inform her of some items and she sent me a MMS showing Joanne sitting with Guo Lao Shi. They had water play this morning and Joanne joined in. She followed Guo Lao Shi around and sat quietly in class, listened to lessons and story-telling. For lunch, she had half portion of macaroni and her milk. She napped from 1230 to 215, woke up and roamed around on her own. There was a birthday celebration and she had cake and barley for tea. That was followed by playtime and TV time while waiting for us to fetch her. I left early from work to fetch her and she cried when she saw me.
Teacher Ann is the "bad" teacher who takes her away fr papa, mama and por por, and her pacifier etc etc. good because Joanne actually listens to her, like when Teacher Ann asked her to remove her "tutu" after her nap. she took it out and put on the table and walked away to play with her friends.
Well, she's adapting quite well, having fun. It's only the separation anxiety that would last a while...
