A new icon at Marina Bay was opened officially two weeks ago. We have heard a lot about it. Colleagues and friends have visited the place. My new worksite office is right next to it. It's the Marina Barrage. The Marina Barrage sits at the mouth of the Marina Bay, creating a dam and turning Marina Bay into a fresh water reservoir. At the same time, it acts as a flood control gate, especially during the monsoon season.
We had nowhere to go yesterday, so decided at a very last minute to make our way there. The Contractor is still rushing to finish up the place. There was no toilet attendant, i.e. no toilet paper, no soap in the soap dispenser. The kids couldn't wash their hands. Well, it's still new, I shall assess the place again in another 2 months. :p

OH, just to make a note, a little girl bumped into Matthew at the solar park. The bump was quite bad, as Matthew cried immediately and there was a red mark with small streaks of broken skin on his right cheek. Funny thing was the girl was fine, no crying, nothing at all. Took me a while to pacify him.
